But, if you want to use cow’s milk and nothing else, check out the label to see what milk was used. If you cannot find it, look at the color.
Ghee made from cow’s milk is golden yellow, whereas ghee from buffalo’s milk is a duller yellow color, even white. Cow’s milk contains more carotene and that’s why it has such a deep yellow color.
Also, buffalo’s ghee is a little less nutritious than ghee from cows. Furthermore, it contains almost twice as much butterfat as cow’s ghee.
